Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) Has 56% of Contracts With One Customer

What happened

Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) has put a number on its biggest customer relationship. One unnamed high-investment-grade hyperscaler accounts for about $20 billion and 810 megawatts of the company's roughly $36 billion and 1,410-megawatt contract book, according to a proxy filed Friday afternoon.

The same disclosure assigns about $11 billion and 400 megawatts to CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) at Polaris Forge 1, plus $4 billion and 200 megawatts to the Polaris Forge 2 customer. Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) says nearly 80% of contracted power has investment-grade support.

Why it matters

The assumption that changed is simple. Investors already knew Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) had a large pipeline. They did not know how much depended on one customer. The new breakdown shows that the unnamed hyperscaler represents about 55.6% of contracted revenue and 57.4% of contracted power.

That concentration cuts both ways. A high-investment-grade counterparty can lower payment and financing risk. It can also become the single largest source of delay, renegotiation or lost economics. A schedule change involving that customer would touch more than half of the disclosed contract book.

The figures are also not current revenue. They describe potential initial-term contract value tied to facilities that still must be built, energized and accepted. Applied Digital Corporation (NASDAQ: APLD) had about 100 operating megawatts at the end of fiscal 2026, only about 7% of the 1,410 contracted megawatts. The remaining gap is an execution and financing problem, not simply a demand problem.

What's next

The evidence leaves the investment case mixed. The credit-quality disclosure strengthens confidence that a large share of the pipeline has credible support. The newly measurable customer concentration raises the consequence of any one customer's timing or contract changes.

The next test is commissioned capacity, not another contract total. Investors should watch lease commencement dates, customer-specific revenue and receivable concentration, completion of the planned CoreWeave, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRWV) credit-support amendment and progress toward management's $2 billion annual net operating income goal.

If operating megawatts and cash collection rise on schedule, the concentration can be a bridge to scale. If construction or customer timing slips, more than half of the contract book is exposed to the same relationship. This is source-backed research, not personalized investment advice.
