Firy (NYSE: FIRY) sells Exit Games stake for $55.0 million in cash

What happened

Firy Inc. (NYSE: FIRY) said it sold all 14,708 Exit Games GmbH shares for $55.0 million in cash on October 2, 2026. The company said the shares represented 100% of Firy's ownership in Exit Games and approximately 10.5% of Exit Games' outstanding share capital.

The Share Sale Agreement says the purchase price was due on the signing date, and the transfer and payment were to happen as a single, simultaneous exchange of performance. Firy said the transaction was consummated on October 2, 2026, and it ceased to be a shareholder of Exit Games as a result.

The agreement says the transfer depended on receipt of the purchase price, and the share transfer and cash payment were to occur together.

Why it matters

OptimistFi's case is that Firy is a high-gross-margin turnaround option, and the stock only works if revenue durability shows up before cash burn consumes the runway.

This sale turns an equity position into cash, which matters because the agreement puts the price at $55.0 million, or $3,739.46 per share.

The gap between 100% of Firy's ownership and about 10.5% of Exit Games' outstanding share capital is 89.5 percentage points.

That frames the exit as large from Firy's side even though it was one asset, and it gives investors a clean cash figure to track.

The deal is a clean cash conversion, but the filing still leaves the turnaround question to later operating results.

At 89.5 percentage points, the gap between Firy's ownership and Exit Games' outstanding share capital is wide, which shows how much of the holding moved.

What's next

The transaction is already closed, so the next observable evidence is Firy's later operating results.

If those results show durable revenue, the cash from this sale supports the case. If they do not, this filing mainly stands as a completed divestiture.

That later evidence will tell investors whether this cash sale was only a balance-sheet event or part of a longer turnaround.

Investors will judge the sale by whether later results show the cash can support a more durable business.
